The rooms were cramped, the hotel wifi wasn’t working, and next door, construction started at 6am and carried on until around 8pm each day. The drilling, sanding, hammering, rattling, and other noise was unbearable. During our two days there, we didn’t see any other guests. My family and I had planned to stay four days at Ngoc Khanh hotel (formerly Xa La Boutique) at 3 Tue Tinh, Nha Trang, but left after two miserable days and had to find another hotel. I’d contacted Nhat beforehand to arrange the booking. I don’t know if he’s the owner or manager, but he never mentioned that the neighboring building was under construction. He didn’t apologize for the awful stay. We got no discount or other offer until we pushed for one. Customer service gets zero from me. Enough said.

During holiday season it can be hard to find a decent hotel unless you book a week ahead, so this place may do if you plan to spend more time out than sleeping. Our rooms, 301 and 303, had no hot water, and I suspect the other rooms were the same. The air conditioner in mine was terrible and still didn’t work well after they repaired it.

Looking back, it was a horrible part of the trip. The place was dirty and humid, which made things even worse. Nobody seemed willing to help, and someone even yelled at me when I borrowed their hairdryer. I’d never recommend staying here.
