Novotel Nha Trang Hotel

The staff were great, especially at reception. Yen Fo, Gia Huy, Huy Bell, Viet Fo and Vy Fo, whose names I may have misspelt, were all so helpful. They arranged our visit to VinPearl cable ride to Harbour City and VinWonder Theme Park, the main attraction in Nha Trang apart from snorkeling and mud baths, and got us a seniors’ discount because we’re over sixty. It saved us the hassle of sorting everything out ourselves. We’d have given the hotel 4.5 stars if we could. The location is very good, near the beach, night market, shops, and restaurants. Our room, 1210, faced the sea and had a balcony where we could sunbathe until late morning, before the sun moved away. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Watch out when you turn on the hot water at the sink or shower. It can be literally boiling. At the sink, turn the tap too far left and it’s scalding to touch. There should be a warning. The shower was okay once we figured it out, though a little confusing. There’s a sunken bath that we didn’t use because it would take ages to fill. The toilet uses stainless steel panels instead of buttons, which confused us for a few moments. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner came in good-sized containers, and body lotion was available on request. There were no dressing gowns, and the TV had very limited options. Then again, a Vietnamese person visiting the UK would probably struggle to find anything to watch, too. Breakfast wasn’t included in our rate, which suited us because we could have it when we fancied it. There was a vast choice for different tastes, though it got repetitive after a few days. We tried Cheers and Cafe Culture for breakfast as well, and both were fine. We reviewed them separately elsewhere. The pool has around eight sunbeds, but no sun reached that area. The water was freezing, though some more hardy people used it. The bars had happy hours twice a day, with two drinks for the price of one, which was nice. The downstairs bar layout wasn’t great for mingling. If you like cake, Banh Ngon Moi Ngay is a lovely little bakery just around the corner. Leave the hotel, turn left, then left again at the next turn. It’s about 100 yards up on the left, and the cakes are cheap and lovely. The hotel was popular with Russian tourists. We didn’t meet many guests from the UK.

The staff were welcoming and quick to respond whenever we asked for something. There were plenty of activities for the whole family at the hotel and nearby, and the location was good. I felt safe having my children, aged 18 and 13, stay in their own room close by. We’ll definitely stay at Novotel again when we’re next in Nha Trang.

We had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely return. The sea views were amazing, the rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast had lots of choices and was delicious. Great value, and the hotel is right by the beach.

The gym was well equipped, and the pool was just right for a refreshing swim. Our room had everything we needed, plus a lovely sea view to wake up to. Housekeeping kept it spotless and were always smiling. We got such a warm welcome in Vietnam from the concierge and front desk team. John checked us in and was fantastic, friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Great staff and facilities. We’d definitely come back. Thank you 🙏🏽
