Quan Son 2 Hotel & Spa

The rooms were extremely dirty and didn’t match the pictures. There was no way to cook, either. Don’t stay here.

It was good.

The sea and Vinpearl look great from the balcony, and our sixth-floor room had its own; balconies on the other floors are shared. The hotel is right by a lively street, with the beach across it and shops and cafes for all budgets nearby. There’s a Russian disco outside the window, though it didn’t keep us awake. The entrance is through a massage parlor, the staff were friendly, and the room was cleaned regularly. For the price, things were fine, but traffic horns go all night and can make sleeping difficult. On our first day I found a huge cockroach, about thumb-sized, on the bathroom floor. I blocked a hole under the sink drain and didn’t see another in the room, though there were some in the first-floor hallway. If they deal with the cockroaches, it’d be a great choice at this price.
