Sai Gon Mui Ne Resort

We enjoyed the facilities, including the outdoor pool, restaurant, gym, ping pong table, and private beach. There was entertainment one of the nights we stayed, plus weekend BBQ dinner nights. We also booked a couple of tours through the hotel, and both were great. It’s a lovely hotel in an excellent location in this part of Vietnam. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our good-sized room was kept clean. We’d definitely stay again.

The description didn’t make it clear that rooms might be on the other side of the street from the beach. They put us far across the road, so we had to cross it to reach the beach. Moving to the other side costs a lot of money. This should have been stated in the description.

At check-in, we weren’t told how many towels had been provided. After the first day’s cleaning, it was also unclear how many had been taken away. We didn’t remove any towels from the room or bring them back, but were charged 50k for one that was supposedly lost. When we asked the receptionist about it, explaining that housekeeping might have taken one extra towel and that our room was for two guests with one additional guest, they couldn’t give us a convincing answer or explain the process.

There’s a lot of anti-erosion work happening along the beach, which seems to be a significant issue. The hotel itself has spacious rooms with balconies, set among large, well-kept gardens, and there’s a big pool with direct beach access. Breakfast has a good range of options, and the orange juice is especially worth trying. From 3:00 to 4:30 PM, the beach bar serves complimentary tea and coffee; the tasty cakes there cost extra.
