Serenity by the Sea

The owner and staff are friendly and helpful at this small, cozy, quiet beachfront hotel, which has three storeys. Rooms are spacious and clean. For breakfast you choose one main course from the menu, then help yourself to hot and cold drinks, fruit, yogurt, cakes and biscuits, and cereals.

A friend stayed here, and the seaside style is fresh and photogenic, from the rooms through to the lobby. I wanted to order a drink, but it seems they don't have cafe service in the lobby. With such lovely design and location, I'd love to see them offer tea or meals in the future.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious. You choose the main course a day ahead, and it's prepared as soon as you arrive. There were also juices, fruit, cakes, tea and coffee. The nearby shops and restaurants were great, with everything we needed. The hotel overlooks the sea and has a beautiful outlook. We had a lovely four-day stay, and the staff were amazing. The owner/manager was so friendly, Nhu looked after us beautifully, and the other staff were friendly too. Our room had everything we needed: comfortable beds and pillows, a fan, great air con, a lovely bathroom with a large shower area, and a free safe. Tea, coffee and water were replenished every day. Beach towels were provided, and there were always enough sun beds. Only a handful were by the sea, but you could move them. At high tide, it was a little difficult to get down to the sea because there isn't much beach directly in front. There is beach on either side, though, if you find the access from the road. The one thing that could stop us returning was other residents smoking. There were many smokers, and they could smoke around the pool and outside their rooms. For three of our four days, chain smokers below us filled the air with constant smoke, so we couldn't sit outside our room. Sometimes the walk through the area to the restaurant or sea was smoky too. The area is open above, but the smoke still seemed to linger. There should be a smoking area away from where other people are staying. Everything else was brilliant.

The room was excellent, service was great, and the location was very good. The pool was fabulous too. We did hear some noise from a nearby property on Friday and Saturday nights, but it stopped at a sensible time.
