An Phu Hotel

Everything else was okay, including the staff, but my experience with one man at the front desk was really disappointing. I rented a scooter from the hotel and returned it at 2 p.m., after half a day. I asked if there might be a half-day discount, and he shouted at me and insisted I pay for the full day. He even said he would keep my luggage if I didn’t pay the whole amount. The money wasn’t the issue, his way of dealing with me was awful. I felt completely let down. I don’t recommend renting a scooter through the hotel, since there are cheaper options nearby. I’ve seen other reviews complain about his behavior and he’s still there. If the owner sees this, I hope they address it, as it’s hurting the hotel’s reputation. This treatment of guests visiting from abroad was unacceptable. Thanks for ruining my experience. Our room was 307, and the air conditioning was unreliable. It was repaired during our stay but still didn’t work properly. The location also wasn’t good for us. There’s little nearby, and the night market is a kilometer away. I’d much rather stay around King Kong Mart, where there are lots of places to eat. Breakfast was very poor, and it didn’t feel like anyone was trying to serve good food. The staff at both the egg station and pho counter were rude and need to learn how to speak to guests. Bring your own black tea and coffee sachets, the hotel doesn’t have them.

We’d stay here again. The hotel is in a handy spot, about a 15-minute walk from the main market, with nice local restaurants on the same street. Staff were friendly, the rooms were clean though a little dated, and breakfast was simple but nice. Traffic can be noisy, but that seems pretty normal for hotels around here.

After paying so much, we still couldn’t get a straight answer without asking twice, even allowing for the language barrier. One man in particular shouted and spoke to us very rudely. I found him inhospitable and felt he was racist. The owners should take action if they care about their guests and the hotel. I’m attaching his photo. He shouldn’t be in this job. How could he treat guests like that?
