Best Western Premier Sonasea Villas Phu Quoc Resort

Room service was the one frustration, since orders took a long time to arrive. The hotel seems to be working on it, though, and has started checking with guests to make sure orders get delivered. We booked a Premier Deluxe room at Best Western Premier Sonasea and loved the spectacular view. It was roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast had lots of options. It can get crowded indoors on rainy days. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and families with toddlers have a dedicated club and stroller-friendly grounds. The beach is right out front, a night market is just outside, and the pools are well maintained. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it for families or a relaxing beach break.

The beach is lovely, with gorgeous sunsets from the shore and from ocean-view rooms. We also enjoyed the tasty, nicely presented food and cocktails at the beach club. Sonasea Night Market, restaurants, shops, and spa massage places are all nearby, and tours can be arranged at reception. We spent four nights at Best Western Premier Sonasea. The resort was elegant, clean, and well cared for, with attentive service and excellent housekeeping. Breakfast had a great selection, and families have a kids’ club, big pools, and water activities for children. For the comfort and experience, it felt like good value. Highly recommended.

The room cleaning could have been better. The floor was still dirty afterwards, and there were spots on the sink. Staff were polite, though, and the hotel was good overall. Breakfast was varied and really nice, with lots of fruit as well as an English breakfast with eggs and beans. The pools were clean and had plenty of loungers, and both the sea and beach were clean too.

The worst part of our stay was another group of guests. It seemed to be several families and friends together, and the mothers drank and smoked beside the pool while children played nearby. I understand people have different cultures, but they were very noisy and showed little consideration for anyone else. They played songs from their country on a Bluetooth speaker and sang along, making it hard to relax by the pool. One woman even sang into a microphone, and it was difficult to listen to. I hope the hotel and villa managers ask guests to show basic courtesy. The hotel and villa were nice and clean. I only wish they would clear floating leaves from the pool. Some of the bottom tiles were sharp enough to hurt a foot, and my child got a cut and a scratch on the bottom of the villa pool in the 1.4m-deep section.
