Hawaii Resort Phu Quoc

The rooms we were moved to were clean, but the promised 50% discount disappeared once we had changed rooms. Management offered an extra room instead, even though we had never asked for one. We had booked five rooms for a family trip at $80 a night based on photos that seemed acceptable. What we found was filthy floors, stained and dirty pillows and blankets, and a bathroom so bad it was almost unusable. We complained and were first told we would get both a half-price discount and clean rooms of the standard we had paid for. Neither the photos nor the staff's promises were reliable. The hygiene was a health concern, and I found management dishonest. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The resort is worn out and needs a lot of renovation. It is close to Phu Quoc night market and has a nice beach, but I would avoid staying here if you want a trouble-free vacation. During my stay from December 24 to 29, 2025, the hotel's card machine charged my debit Mastercard twice. They refused to return the extra payment and told me to claim it through my bank. In all the hotels I've stayed at around the world, the hotel has refunded this kind of duplicate charge itself. I found this very strange and poor service. With a Vietnamese bank card, I faced a long phone queue, then had to find a branch in Phu Quoc and file a claim there. It took time and caused a headache during my Christmas holiday. The bank said a debit card refund could take 7-45 days because the money had already gone to the hotel's account. A credit card would have made the claim easier. Travelers should be careful with payment here. I even considered reporting it to the police in Phu Quoc to get my money back, though the bank said the claim could work. I really hope it does. I can't say what the hotel's intention was, but keeping the extra money this way left me wondering.

The beach was beautiful, with a restaurant right on it, and there were shops and all kinds of restaurants nearby. Our room was quite large and only about 20 meters from the beach. It was clean, though the Wi-Fi signal in the room was weak.

I'm from Hawaii and have Hawaiian blood, and I found this place a sick joke. The rooms are nasty and the property needs a lot of work. The neighboring resort blasts rave music all night. Very bad, I can't recommend it.
