Kim Hoa Resort

We ended up waiting well past 14:00 for our bungalow, and reception seemed confused. We had to tell them three separate times that we’d already checked in. Once we got inside, the room smelled unpleasant and had a big gap above the front door. It was in rough condition, and cleanliness across the room and resort was abysmal. Breakfast was bland with a mediocre selection. We were there around Christmas, when the prices felt far too high for what we got, so this wasn’t a budget-friendly stay. I wouldn’t recommend it to Europeans. I didn’t take photos because the experience wasn’t pleasant or worth photographing. Sorry to anyone reading this after staying there.

For our two-night stay, we booked a room with two beds but were given one with just one. It was old, and the toilet smelled bad. This was the worst accommodation we had on our holiday, and I’m very disappointed. The hotel should check the state of its rooms and make sure the booking is verified. Guests should get what they reserved, not a room based on what the hotel chooses to give them. I wouldn’t give it a rating.

The rain lasted through almost our entire six-day, five-night stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach much. That was just the weather, though, not the hotel’s fault. The beach is right in front of Kim Hoa Resort, and there are pools too. Even during a holiday it wasn’t crowded, which made things feel peaceful. Breakfast was decent, usually a buffet, though one day we ordered instead. The staff were accommodating enough. It was a comfortable, pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it if you want a calm resort by the beach.

The driver we got to know at the resort took us around the island and showed us some of the best spots. We also had wonderful massages on the beach from a lovely family. We rented three beachfront bungalows for our family, and the view and space by the shore were hard to beat. The water was really nice, and the sunsets were amazing. They also serve a nice breakfast buffet. A great little resort.
