La Maison De Dino

We chose this place for its location inside Grand World, even though it cost more. The room situation turned into a mess. There was no reception at La Maison De Dino, so we went down the block and found another La Maison De Dino convenience store. Someone working there came out and asked if we were hotel guests. We checked in there, then hauled our bags up the stairs because there’s no elevator. The room looked almost like a storage space. We asked to move right away and were told everything was booked. After a long argument, they said they could switch us after 6pm. When we came back, they again said there were no rooms. We were angry and started looking for somewhere else. Only then did they offer a room in another building, supposedly part of the same chain. The whole building was dark and seemed empty, though the room itself was decent enough. They then asked for another 500k vnd per night. We refused, and the person left. I wanted to post this as soon as we got out. The closer you get to the center, the pricier it gets, and in our case, the worse it got. Avoid these Homestays in Grand World. Find a proper hotel and save yourself the hassle.

I was hesitant about staying here after seeing the mixed reviews, but we decided to give it a try. From check-in through departure, we had a fantastic stay. Our Host Nam responded quickly whenever we needed something, usually over WhatsApp. The room was clean and fresh, with clean linen, fresh towels and a tidy bathroom. It felt more like a home stay than a hotel, which made the place feel welcoming and homely. I’d definitely recommend these guys to people visiting Phu Quoc.

Be cautious about booking here. After you arrive, the hotel may cancel your reservation, saying the rooms are full. I checked again and found that they were offering the room for a higher price.

They canceled our reservation without asking us, even though we had booked well ahead of our trip to Phu Quoc and paid in full. The day before our stay, after we were already on the island, they suddenly said there were no rooms. We had to find another hotel at the last minute, while they were still selling the room at a higher price. We lost both time and money, and it completely spoiled the mood of our vacation. The hotel’s attitude was awful and irresponsible.
