Phu Quoc Blue Hotel

I stayed here for seven weeks and enjoyed how calm and peaceful it was. It’s a little fancy place with around ten rooms, marble floors and toilets, and floor-to-ceiling windows that I liked. The Wi-Fi was good and there were cable channels. It’s far from the city center, with a convenience store nearby. The hotel was kind enough to lend me their bike for an hour so I could go into the city and shop.

We planned to spend ten days here but left three days early. Things were fine at first. Then the old motorbike we’d rented got a flat tire and a loose chain, and the atmosphere changed. The young woman at reception started treating us arrogantly and said we were responsible for the damage. We felt it was due to the bike’s condition, though we paid for the repair. We didn’t want another argument if more problems came up, so we stopped using it. We couldn’t rent a replacement elsewhere, and since a bike was needed for things like getting to the beach, we decided to leave the island three days ahead of schedule.

The room was new and clean, and I liked the trees planted outside because they made it feel fresh. But it’s outside the center of Duong Dong town, so getting around isn’t convenient.

A lovely, relaxing hotel in a peaceful area. It’s not right beside many places, but it’s a nice spot to get away and unwind.
