Phu Quoc Dumbo Bungalows

The rooms had everything we needed and were clean and comfortable. We swam in the lovely pool every day, though a few more loungers by the pool and beach, maybe with cushions, would be nice. It didn’t affect our stay, just a small suggestion. The resort is peaceful, in a local town without crowds of tourists. We felt safe and found some favorite places to eat nearby. Breakfast was included and freshly made each morning with a good range of choices. There’s also a full menu all day, with lunch and dinner, good coffee, shakes, and drinks. You can rent a scooter there too, and it was easy to arrange what we needed. We spent three weeks there and made friends with some lovely people. That connection made the stay even more special. Amy( Trâm), Mrs. LAN, Thuy, Nhân, and the rest of the staff were kind and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. They really tried to help with anything we needed. We felt at home from the moment we arrived at Phu Quoc Dumbo Resort, and we’d absolutely recommend it and come back. Thank you for making us feel so welcome 💛

It’s not a five-star place, but you get a lot out of staying here. I left crowded Duong Dong for this quiet, friendly, homely spot, and ended up extending my stay to enjoy the peaceful setting and beautiful surroundings.

We stayed four days in February 2025, me, my partner, and our two kids. Our spacious room faced the beach and had a kitchen and washing machine. Sunrise and sunset with the waves in the background felt incredibly calming. There’s room service, but no restaurant or breakfast at the resort. That suited me fine since I enjoy cooking for my family. A wet market with fresh, affordable seafood and vegetables is 900m away, convenience stores are 100m away, and Phu Quoc Kim 2 restaurant is right next door for anyone who’d rather eat out. The stay was peaceful and comfortable. If you like cooking, the beach, and a quiet getaway, this place is ideal. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

The pool was nice, the towels were big, and the ocean water was clean for swimming. That’s about all I liked. The room smelled like an ashtray, everything was dirty, and there were flies all over the bathroom. There wasn’t a receptionist, and the beach area needed someone to pick up the garbage. If they put some effort into the place it might be worth staying, but as it is, stay at Kim’s next door.
