Rum Resort

We booked Rum Resort for five nights, then added another five because of the kind staff, good service, and great location. The owner and her team were really helpful with whatever we needed or asked for. We also rented a motorbike and had our laundry done at the resort. We’d recommend it if you’re visiting Phu Quoc. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The room was dirty, including the sheets, and wasn’t ready even though we checked in late. It seemed like they expected us not to show up. Nothing was cleaned between days, and the WiFi and TV didn’t work. Breakfast was a joke, basically an old lady cooking eggs if you wanted them. The service was nonexistent, and getting paid, including charging double tax, seemed to be all that mattered. It was overpriced. Avoid this place.

The hotel is right in the city center, which makes eating out and shopping convenient, and the prices are reasonable. The rooms are cleaned every day. There are lots of green trees and a clean, beautiful swimming pool, too. The staff are attentive and always help guests when they run into difficulties.

We were scrambling for somewhere to stay and agreed on a price since we needed to check out the next day. The owner said they’d confirm the following day, but I texted several times, called, and kept trying to reach them. At 6 pm they vaguely said they might have two houses available. By then we’d read the reviews, so I gave them one last chance to confirm, and they stopped replying again. Such a shame about the service.
