The Pier Phu Quoc Resort

Getting around was a drawback. Restaurants and bars are quite far, over 40 minutes by car, and sometimes you can’t get a Grab. The price also felt hard to justify since the overall experience wasn’t worth what I paid. I liked the villa, and the pool was clean and pretty, but although I stayed in an ocean view room, I could hardly see the sea. The villa faces the ocean itself. We got almost no explanation about the hotel, and staff seemed to forget both the Wi-Fi on our first night and cleaning on the first day. The restaurant food was okay, though not the best.

A lovely spot to relax away from everything. The bungalow was much better maintained and more modern than I expected, and it stayed firm through a storm. Watching the sunrise from bed was wonderful. The water is too shallow for swimming, so this isn’t really a beach or swimming destination. Still, being out on the sea made for an amazing experience.

The ocean views were unbeatable, and the staff were friendly. It’s on the much quieter side of Phu Quoc, so the trip out of your way to stay here is worth it.

The calm overwater bungalow was clean and charming, and falling asleep and waking up to the sea, then seeing sunrise from the terrace, felt magical. The food was another high point: fresh seafood, tasty local dishes, and smoothies that were incredible. Everything tasted homemade, authentic, and full of flavor. We came away with a lot of good memories from The Pier Phu Quoc. The team welcomed us so warmly from the start, and Mr. Dũng and everyone made us feel like family. The hotel is around 25 km from the city center, but the quiet setting is ideal for a retreat. Staff provided a scooter so we could explore at our own pace, and nearby spots like Suối Tranh waterfalls and Hàm Ninh fishing village added to the trip. We felt safe throughout, and the kindness of local people added to that comfort. I’ll recommend this place to every traveler I meet, and hope to return someday.
