Venice Hotel Phu Quoc

We really liked the fifth-floor room’s view of the water show and nightly fireworks. The design throughout Venice Hotel Phu Quoc has a charming Italy-inspired feel, and it’s conveniently close to the show and other attractions. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and quick to help. Since we stayed longer than most, they also surprised us with a complimentary couples spa treatment. The hotel provided free drop-off and pick-up to a nearby gym, which we appreciated. The main issue was the noise. From around 17:00, the water show and especially Loop Infinity Bar made things much louder. The bar played loud, rather poor-quality music every night until about 11 PM, even though there were very few customers. It felt intrusive rather than lively, and more likely to put people off than draw them in. That made evenings much less relaxing than we’d hoped. Breakfast was decent but had limited choices, and some things, like the orange juice, seemed noticeably watered down. There’s a lot to like here, including the thoughtful service and attractive design. With the persistent bar music, though, it fell short of being a top stay for us.

The staff were warm and helpful, making sure we were comfortable, and the charming room had a very comfortable bed. We finally got some good sleep on this trip. This was our first time in Phu Quoc, and the hotel put us close to everything, with a grand view of the ocean and the iconic Kissing Bridge. Our first day began with a delicious breakfast. We tried the Fish Vermicelli Noodle Soup and fresh fruit, and were pleasantly surprised by how fresh and flavorful it all was. We’re already looking forward to staying again when we come back.

The jacuzzi pool was even better than I expected, and the staff were polished and skilled, especially compared with other five-star hotels around here. From our ocean-view room we could watch the show and fireworks, which felt like a better deal than buying show tickets. The street gets quiet once the show is over, so it never disturbed our sleep. We'd happily come back.

Mrs Larrisa, the GM, was especially thoughtful. She understood what we needed, communicated well in English, and arranged a couple of vegan breakfast dishes for us. Lee also helped with buggy bookings and worked around our delay for the sunset town ride. The rest of the team were polite and helpful too. The hotel has a cute Italian-inspired look; some rooms are small but clean and neat, with soft towels and comfortable pillows. A and B blocks cost more. It's an easy walk to the Symphony and the Kiss show, and we'd recommend it.
