The concierge was the real five-star part of the stay. They arranged everything very well, and Vanessa deserves special thanks. Atlantis restaurant was good, though the portions felt small for the price. The private beach and pool were nice when you could enjoy them, but everything was packed. It was hard to find a beach umbrella, the pool was always full, and breakfast was chaotic. The coffee machines were good, but there were often four to six people waiting for coffee. Food choices were varied, but kids touched the buffet without supervision, staff often looked angry, and finding a table was difficult. Fruit was very limited, usually just watermelon, and the juices tasted like overly sweet processed drinks. We stayed seven days expecting a five-star experience. The rooms were spacious but dated, and some outlets didn’t work. The place has potential and costs less than nearby hotels with a much better experience, but with crowds like these I think it should be no more than USD 60-70 per room per night without a beach view.

Kuldeep Kaur made our stay easy from beginning to end. Since we’re vegetarians, we really appreciated her taking us through the breakfast options and making sure we had a tasty, worry-free meal each morning. After checkout, we realized we’d left our baby stroller behind. Kuldeep acted right away and personally made sure it reached us at the airport before our flight. That level of care is rare and went well beyond what we expected. The Wyndham Grand is a beautiful five-star property, and the facilities are lovely, but the people are what made it feel world-class. Thanks to Kuldeep and the whole team for looking after us so well. We highly recommend it.

The surrounding area felt like a mix of Vegas and Disneyland, which wasn’t really our thing, but the hotel itself was top notch. Our room was lovely, the service was excellent, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. It’s an enormous hotel and could feel chaotic at times, yet things kept running smoothly thanks to the professionalism and policies in place. The beach was nice, with plenty of amenities nearby. Airport pickup and drop-off were free. Our flight was delayed on the way there, but they waited 40 minutes for us. That was above-and-beyond service. Highly recommend the hotel.

My husband and I booked five nights all-inclusive for our 32nd wedding anniversary. We’re Australian and New Zealand, English-speaking, and had been living in Vietnam for six months. We greeted staff in Vietnamese and always said thank you in Vietnamese, but many still assumed we were Russian. After dinner we liked to have a glass of wine at the lobby bar around 8:30 PM before heading back to our room. Then what we called the “Russian mummy brigade” would arrive with screaming babies, making it noisy and unpleasant. My suggestions are to stop assuming everyone is Russian and rude, because we aren’t, and to have a designated bar where children aren’t allowed. In my opinion, children shouldn’t be in bars, and management and parents are being irresponsible.

Breakfast was one of the highlights: very good, varied, and full of tasty Asian dishes. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and it sits right beside a lovely, clean beach. Sunbeds and towels were included. The rooms were clean too, though the fake-antique decor was kitschy and not my taste. Also, dishes were left behind after room service. Communication was hard because most staff spoke very little English. Room service was slow and disappointing: we had to follow up three times, and the order took almost two hours despite an estimate of around 40 minutes. The animation team was mostly Russian staff, and their way of handling children wasn’t pleasant. Kids were invited to play, then discouraged from joining in. The hotel seems clearly geared toward Russian guests. On the plus side, the kids had nice waterslides and the aqua aerobics was modern and enjoyable. The beach and cleanliness are good, but service and atmosphere affected the stay enough that two days would be my limit. The hotel has potential.
