Chai Village Hotel

After our late check-in, we were shown to a room promptly, but it was in terrible shape. The bed linens were stained, ants were crawling in the sheets, and it was obvious the room hadn’t been prepared for us. Staff said nobody was available to clean then, so they offered another room. That one had the same cleanliness problems. We were taken through four more rooms, all just as dirty, and finally chose to leave, even though we’d have to give up our payment. The staff understood and agreed to refund us, and the owner tried to help us leave. That was appreciated, but we were then stuck in the middle of nowhere late at night with no taxi available. Our trip to Quy Nhon had already been rough, and arriving at Chai Village made it worse. I’d have given it one star, but the refund and help from the owner counted for something. This place could probably be great if the rooms and bedding were cleaned up.

The front desk manager took great care of us and was extremely helpful. The hotel is new, nicely designed, and uses blue as its main theme. It’s right across from the beach, and the room windows opened toward the sea. At night, the waves put us to sleep peacefully, much nicer than white noise on repeat. We didn’t have much to dislike. The facade lighting could be less intense at night, dim enough to show off the main design without being so bright. That’s a minor point. We’d also suggest opening the restaurant soon as tourists return.

We had a really relaxing stay. The location is beautiful, near beaches and hiking, and the seafood was amazing. The young owners were professional and lovely.

We stayed here while traveling between Ky Go, Eo Gio, and other spots around nhon ly peninsula Quy Nhon. It’s a colorful, sweet, comfortable place in a charming fishing village right on the beach. The owner is friendly, speaks English well, and has plenty of tour options and advice. Our room was fine. One thing to know: Google maps sends you through narrow alleys that are tricky on a bike. There are wider, easier roads to get there.
