DeLaMont Sapa Hotel

The kindness we received from Ms. Mai Anh made this stay especially memorable. After we arrived late from Hanoi Airport with our three-year-old, she helped us find dinner when GrabFood wasn’t available. She went into Sapa town for fried rice and pizza, brought it back to our room, and included bottled water that had gone cold in the frosty weather. The next day, she collected a personal delivery from town and left it in our room while we were out exploring. She also made our arrival easy after the five-hour drive. Her English was fluent, and she walked us through the hotel amenities and suggested things to do around Sapa, which was very helpful on our first visit. We were looking for halal food, so her help meant a lot to us. Our balcony suite was spacious and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful design throughout. Ms. Mai Anh’s sincerity, warmth, and commitment to helping guests stood out. DeLaMont Sapa Hotel is fortunate to have her representing it. I’d gladly work with someone with her character in any organisation, and I wish her all the best. My family and I are grateful we met her. Well done, Mai Anh, and keep up the excellent work.

Thiet at the front office was a big help, advising us on how to cover different places and when to go. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the views were peaceful. One thing to keep in mind is the hotel is about 3 km from Sapa center, where the restaurants and city bustle are. Breakfast was a little disappointing. There wasn’t much choice, and the same menu came back all three days. That may have been because there were only a few guests while we were there.

The room was clean and really nice, and the staff were attentive. They also replied to emails quickly. I stayed two nights and thought the location was lovely, even if it’s a little far out. The setting made that distance worth it. It’s a new hotel, so a few things may still need work, but you can tell they’re trying hard to make guests happy. I was impressed and would definitely stay again.

We arrived at 2 pm, the official check-in time, but our room wasn’t ready. They sent us up anyway, and it hadn’t even been cleaned after the previous guest. We had to go back and wait another 30 minutes for a room. The afternoon tea also came late despite our asking in advance, and there was no hot water in the bathroom until we called someone to fix it. The staff were rude and incompetent. At checkout, Duy from reception came to our room at 12:20 and rudely told us to come out within five minutes or we’d be charged 15%. Where was that punctuality when the room and food we’d booked were due? Extremely disrespectful. Nothing was as promised or expected, and everything was a mess. We regret choosing this hotel and would never recommend it.
