Eco Villas & Spa

We spent three nights here and were really glad we chose it. It’s about 30 minutes from Sapa, which suited us because we wanted somewhere peaceful, and taxis are cheap anyway. The staff are lovely and welcoming, always ready to help. We tried the spa too and thought it was very good. The rooms looked just like the pictures, which isn’t always the case in Vietnam.

We stayed in a clean, comfortable bungalow and loved how dog friendly the resort was. Our dog got to enjoy the countryside and made friends with the resort’s puppy. The place is in a stunning location, about 20 minutes from Sapa town and close to the ethnic village. The hotel recommended a very good taxi service, and getting around was easy. When the resort isn’t busy, breakfast is served à la carte instead of buffet style. I liked that there were plenty of fresh options. We also had the set menus on a couple of evenings and thought the selection was great. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and good value. There’s a great swimming pool. We didn’t use the spa, but the options and prices looked good. Restaurant service was wonderful too. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Vietnam.

It was so foggy, though that may just have been the time of year. I’m sure the views would’ve been stunning without it. Our first room was a bit disturbing, but they fixed that quickly by moving us. The staff were pleasant to deal with, though the breakfast was quite terrible and the food wasn’t the highlight. Getting into town is quite a mission.

The remote setting made it incredibly peaceful, and the team were wonderful. They were very helpful arranging activities and tours to suit us, and at a great price. The spa facilities were lovely, and the pool was beautiful and clean. The hot tub was great too, as was everything from the kitchen. A stunning place.
