Sapa Eco Bungalows

The bathroom and shower are directly connected to the room with no wall between, which can lead to unpleasant smells. We were first welcomed by a friendly receptionist with tea, and the room seemed clean and pleasant at a glance. Then we found small bugs in the beds, at least four different kinds, plus a large spider. I know these are bungalows in nature, but the room should be properly sealed. I've stayed in similar places and never found bugs in the bed. Staff offered to change the sheets, but insects were still in the room afterward, so we asked for a refund. We got money back for only 3 nights out of 4 and were charged for a full night despite not staying. When I asked for the manager or owner, the receptionist gave me a phone number that didn't work.

The staff were super nice and helpful, and our room for 3 was spacious. The hostel was away from city noise, but nature was loud instead. We hoped the bungalow would be better insulated so we wouldn't hear the cicadas or people talking in the morning.

Our guide Sinh was really sweet and made sure the outing felt complete. The views were beautiful on the walking tour through villages, mountains, and rivers. It lasts around 4-6 hours, and the place offers activities like this. The stay itself was exceptional, the best experience of our whole trip. I highly recommend it.

We took a trekking tour with guide Mimi, who showed us local villages and explained a lot about the people and the nature there. It was a fun experience! The rooms were very spacious and clean, and the area was calm and nice.
