The staff were mostly very polite and helpful, and Mr Hope Ha was especially useful during our stay and spoke great English. Communication in general wasn't easy. The hotel has a great view and a lot of potential.

The FLC Sam Son Grand Hotel is part of the FLC Sam Son Eco-Tourism Resort Complex on Ho Xuan Huong Street. It is about 18 km from Sam Son city center, 57.6 km from Tho Xuan Airport - Thanh Hoa, and 20.7 km from Thanh Hoa train station. Managed by the FLC Group, the complex covers over 200 hectares and began operating in July 2015. Its main facilities include the FLC Luxury Hotel Samson, FLC Luxury Resort Samson, L’Amoura Beach City, FLC Grand Sam Son Hotel, a shopping center, and an international convention center with 1,300 seats. The complex also has a 5,100 m2 saltwater swimming pool system, described as Vietnam's largest, and an 18-hole links golf course designed by the legendary Nicklaus Design.

The indoor pool is too cold to use, and the outdoor one isn't suitable for children in this cool, rainy autumn weather. The hotel has a year-round pool, but its water is just as cold as the outdoor pool. Reception told me they hadn't switched on the heater because it isn't winter yet 🤔. Does that mean they don't want guests during the rainy autumn? I hope they'll warm the indoor pool so guests can enjoy the facilities and get their money's worth.
