Mai Vy Hotel

The room was good value, with cool AC and a hot shower. The mineral water might taste strange to visitors from overseas. A simple breakfast is included, though I found it disappointing. During our stay there were only three food items, mostly banh mi and two sunny-side-up eggs, quite different from the hotel photo. Drinks included milk coffee, black coffee, and mineral water. The hotel is near the main road, easy to find and convenient if you have your own transport. There are restaurants nearby and a Co-op supermarket for things you might need. It has a lift to the upper floors and staff at the front desk nearly 24 hours a day. The male staff were friendly and could communicate through Google Translate, as they speak only Vietnamese. You'll need to ask the front desk for an electric kettle or hairdryer. There are lots of mosquitoes in this area, and they can get into the room. Behind the hotel is a small children's theme park that runs from around 5 pm to 10:30 pm. It might be temporary. The music from its singer stage and loudspeakers was loud enough to keep us from sleeping early, with announcements over the PA too. Watch out for thick smoke on their burning day.

The room was nice, though I noticed a few small dirty spots on the window. Some rooms are poor quality, and the laundry and WiFi service weren't good. Housekeepers sometimes forgot to pick up my laundry, and the WiFi was too slow. I'd recommend Blue Star Hotel nearby instead, as it has good rooms and service.

Room 308 had no hot water, mosquitoes, AC blowing hot air, and a bad smell from the floor. And they wanted 450000? Make a U-turn right away.

The admin handled things badly. My girl asked for an extra blanket, and he said there wasn't one anywhere in the hotel. Then he went to bed and demonstratively fell asleep. He made it clear he didn't care about guests' problems.
