The apartment was okay, and the rooftop pool was really nice, but the lifts made the stay miserable. Over two days I spent five hours waiting in queues. They’re badly designed and packed, with temperatures around 40 degrees inside. Disneyland is the only place where I’d expect to spend hours in queues. Avoid this place for a holiday or weekend.

The building felt like a five-star place, and the flat was roomy and very clean. Check-in and checkout were easy, and we thought it was great value. We enjoyed our stay, though anyone who prefers a soft bed might have trouble sleeping.

The building and its layout are nice, though the apartments themselves have some odd designs. On weekends the lifts are so crowded and slow that finding space is nearly impossible. There’s nowhere for adults to have a drink, and noise from the kids’ level carries throughout the building. That may suit kids, but there isn’t a decent restaurant either. I won’t be back.

This place can feel like a lovely garden, with flowers, trees, winding paths and benches, until you get to the pond. It’s been turned into a toilet with no sanitation, plumbing or protection from the toxic mess there. Weekdays, if you only stay a couple of days, you might enjoy the garden without running into that problem. But if your holiday includes a weekend, I’d urge you not to stay. You’ll lose your mind. The elevators are closed in, and I waited 20 minutes for one while people could hear each other whisper. A woman was yelling at the top of her lungs. Three or four days a week, this place is worse than a bus stop toilet, except at a bus stop you can leave. It doesn’t feel like a home. It’s a tourist attraction, and not a very good one. If you want to see impressive buildings, go to Singapore or Dubai. The only relief is that most of the Saigon tourists have to leave soon. I’m trying to be helpful instead of just venting, but it’s hard. I wouldn’t be so upset if I’d read a review like this before coming. People seem so busy trying to take photos without anyone in them and post them that they forget someone actually lives here.
