The rooms are pretty decent, and I loved the beach out front. But the bed feels like a rock, and the blanket is much too small for two people. A balcony costs way too much, especially on weekends. The breakfast buffet had food that didn’t feel like breakfast for about 70% of it. And if you ask the woman in the lobby for a taxi, you get some strange guy charging double for where you want to go. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you have money to burn and don’t care about it.

I’m not coming back. There was no hot water, and the shower had no glass door, so the water nearly reached the room. I’m used to hotel breakfasts running until 10, but they stop here at 9, and they don’t tell you that.

The water view was nice, and Sunday night cost about 800,000. The AC was weak, water pressure very low, and the shower curtain was torn. We only had two towels, with no bath mat, hand towels, or washcloths.

Thuy Van Hotel is a well-known, popular spot with locals, right across from Flags Square, Vung Tau's most visited square. It's a budget hotel and a little run-down, though. Bai Sau beach draws most of the city's visitors, so I wish management would make better use of that location and raise the standards a bit.

I won't come back. The room was dirty, the sheets had yellow marks, and noise from outside came through even with every door shut. The restaurant staff were unfriendly too.
