Apaula Heights Lounge

My studio had a private bathroom and a large private balcony with a beautiful view. There’s also a huge shared terrace with panoramic views, a lovely garden, friendly dogs and a cat. The hosts are very hospitable, and breakfast is varied and delicious. I also ordered a tasty fresh fish dinner. A shuttle from the airport is available, and the city centre is within walking distance. For a nice beach day in Apia, I’d recommend Taumeasina Island Resort. You can buy drinks there and stay on the beach without tickets. Apaula Heights Lounge gave me probably the best, most authentic Samoan experience I could have had. It’s a great place to experience real Samoan hospitality. Highly recommended 👍🏼 Thank you!

The bungalow was a charming little place with its own terrace, fridge and sink. Showers and restroom are right outside. Tino was lovely, cooked breakfast and made coffee and tea every morning, and helped with everything during my stay. From the patio there are great views over the harbour. It’s about a 20 minute walk uphill from downtown, which was fine. After sundown, I’d generally recommend carrying a stick for dogs on any pacific island.

We arrived but decided not to stay. Nobody was there, and nobody answered the calls. The place looked nothing like the photos, with random dogs outside and a very steep driveway. I can only assume the owners are going through some crisis and have given up on the place.

I found this place by chance when I was in a bit of a pickle, and I’m so glad I did. Waking up here felt like waking up in paradise. Jo and June were angels, helping me check in early and staying up until I arrived. My studio apartment has gorgeous views. Beautiful accommodation run by beautiful people, highly recommend.
