The compensation didn’t feel like enough for the problems, especially since the whirlpool was the main reason we chose the more expensive suite. We booked it for around €120 per night from May 10 to 11. For Prizren, that’s a high price, and we expected a room that was ready, safe and maintained properly. The owner decided on compensation, explaining that we’d already slept there and that the room normally costs €160 in high season. We were offered €20 and accepted it. The whirlpool only partly worked, with some jets barely pushing any water. More concerning, a cover seemed to be missing from a suction or pump area inside it. The suction was strong and the edge felt sharp, so we thought it could be a safety risk and should be checked urgently before guests use it. There were other maintenance problems too. Several lights didn’t work, water leaked from the shower cabin while we showered, and the sink drained poorly and filled up. The room felt unfinished or due for repairs, and all of this made the stay uncomfortable. We told staff in the evening. They said the manager would be informed and someone would talk to us at breakfast the next morning. At checkout I raised the issues again with the manager, who was friendly. She said some problems were already known, but she hadn’t heard about the whirlpool. We were told the workers didn’t have time to fix the room. Breakfast was very basic. It was included, but coffee cost extra. We got tea, scrambled eggs, tomato and sucuk on one plate, and as far as we could see, every guest was served the same thing. For us, the value for money wasn’t acceptable. The manager was friendly at checkout, but the handling of the situation disappointed us. We wouldn’t book this whirlpool suite again.

The city view was lovely, and breakfast had a great selection with plenty of tasty options to start the day. Parking right outside the hotel was convenient, and the center and main shopping streets were less than five minutes away on foot. Our room was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout, and we felt comfortable the whole visit. A very positive stay. We’d happily come back and recommend it.

The bar downstairs was the biggest problem. Bass music and loud conversations went on every day from breakfast until midnight. Our room was cramped and poorly finished, with a leak under the sink and exposed pipes in the bathroom wall. More generally, I can’t recommend Kosovo. It’s full, and I mean full, of annoying local teenagers, including some who nearly run you over on electric mopeds on footpaths where they’re forbidden to ride.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable, with well-designed rooms and common areas that make for a pleasant atmosphere. But the reception staff let the stay down. I asked for help three times and got no response.

The hotel itself feels brand new and looks gorgeous and modern, even with the dilapidated buildings around it. From our room’s balcony there were great mountain views, and the city looked amazing from the roof terrace, though it was still under construction. Our room was spacious, clean and smelled nice. The staff were super friendly, and parking was easy, with free spaces in front and a parking garage as well. Shops and restaurants in the center are a short walk away. Breakfast was quite modest, but the chef made a dish especially for us and it tasted good. Shame we were only there one night. We’ll definitely be back. A 5 star experience :)
