I cancelled my reservation and had to claim the refund through my credit card after the hotel’s poor communication disrupted my safari planning. I had clearly said we’d arrive around 9 PM, but they emailed insisting we check in before 6 PM. When I explained that our timing depended on an international flight from Europe, which I couldn’t control, the staff member suggested changing flights and booking another one. That was unrealistic and unacceptable. She said she’d ask management about a late check-in, but never got back to me. The service was very rude and unprofessional, and I strongly recommend staying away.

Linda’s game drives were great, so come for those if that’s your plan. The farm itself is nice, though the grounds are small and there isn’t much else to do besides visiting addo elephant national park. We were there in April and the nights were a bit cold, but the beds and bungalows stayed warm. The pool was clean and nice, and the service was great.

The food was delicious, the rooms were great, and the service was the best. We got everything we expected and more. I’d definitely recommend staying here, and having at least one dinner on site. You won’t regret it.

The cottages are modern and clean, and the property is beautiful. Staff were incredibly friendly, and it’s close to Addo elephant park.

We found the room big enough, though the bathroom was rather small. De Old Drift is about a 20-minute drive from Addo Elephant Park, which was fine for us. We ate dinner there on the first evening and thought it was okay. On the other nights we preferred going to the Riverfront Restaurant in the village Addo.
