Utopia Guest House

We expected a short stay at Utopia Guesthouse in Alberton, but it became a long season, and the place felt like home. The peace, warmth, and care we found there will stay with us. The Fire and Water rooms were stunning, comfortable, carefully designed, and immaculately prepared. Every detail felt thoughtful and truly four-star. Candice was kind and willing whenever we needed something. More than that, during one of the hardest times in our lives, while our baby was fighting in ICU, she offered support, prayer, and simply being there. She helped us rest when it felt impossible. Utopia wasn’t just somewhere to stay, it gave us a sense of safety and care that we’ll never forget. The property has a deep calm to it, a place for rest, reflection, and healing. The name Utopia, a place of peace and refuge, really fits. As Maya Angelou said, “People will never forget how you made them feel.” We won’t forget how this place made us feel. The words “Peace to this house” (Luke 10:5) seem to belong here, and Psalm 127:1 reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.” This home feels built on care, faith, and love. Love, Douwlene and Arie. We wish Utopia Guesthouse abundance, continued favour, and overflowing peace, and hope every guest finds the same warmth and rest we did.

What a delightful place, and the host was so attentive. We had plenty of late nights, but they were very accommodating. Loved every bit of it.

The price was really good, and the attention to detail at this fantastic guest house was just as impressive. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
