Sea Wave Holidays - Stella Maris

We booked three nights, but lasted one and checked out. The check-in instructions were bad and the host was impossible to reach. The flat and building were a dump. The shower door was broken, the Wi-Fi had issues, and the security guard at the front desk was literally drunk and couldn’t function. There were roaches, including one crawling on my mother-in-law, and the passage smelled of sewerage. There were no usable plug points, the bedding wasn’t fresh or washed, and there was only a box for a bin. No dish soap, scourer or sponge, kitchen cloths or bath towels either.

The owner agreed to return our money after we contacted him, but only refunded the unused days. We’d booked apartment 164 from 10 Feb 2026 to 22 Feb 2026, and after three days we couldn’t stand it any longer. The video on the owner’s website is totally misleading. The apartment looked nothing like the nice place shown there, and the pictures I’m attaching let you decide for yourself. The place was filthy and in terrible condition. Lounge furniture was worn and dirty, walls were dirty, and the curtains were filthy and torn. The cupboard doors were broken, full of holes and dirty. Most doors were chipped at the bottom. The bathrooms were in bad shape. I’d never take a bath in the one with a tub, and the bathroom with a shower had mold all over the walls and roof. The kitchen was in terrible shape, especially the stove, and the cupboard tops had a thick layer of dust. One window was broken, with the pieces held together by brown tape. Worst of all, it was infested with hundreds of cockroaches. We went through 2 cans of Doom in 2 days killing them. At night, if you switched on the kitchen light to get water, they were all over the place and ran for cover. During the day, preparing food meant spending more time killing cockroaches than cooking. My advice: STAY AWAY.

We stayed at Stelle Maris, Flat 235 from 15-22 December. From day one, the place was dirty, infested with cockroaches and smelled horrible. The utensils, pots and cutlery were old, filthy and crawling with roaches. The microwave didn’t work, and basic things like a toaster and grater were missing. My husband woke up with red bites from the bed. We asked to move, but were told they were fully booked. The only solution offered was Doom. Management admitted they’d had a cockroach problem for 3 years, and cleaning isn’t done unless you pay extra, which is unacceptable in this condition. Our breakage deposit is also overdue and still hasn’t been refunded. Poor hygiene, poor management and terrible service. Do not recommend.

We had the best experience. Room 138 was beautiful and clean, and the service was great ❤️❤️❤️
