At first we wondered where we’d ended up, but it turned out to be a really nice, personal place with huge spaces and some cool plumbing solutions in the house. The shower could be better :). Ria-Lize and Jaco were lovely hosts, and the Ridgeback guard dog was excellent!

Avonsrus has a real heartfelt-project feel, and the owners made us very welcome. We had such a peaceful two-night stay and enjoyed it so much. If we’re in the area again, it’ll be part of a future trip for sure.

Avonsrus was a lovely place to stay, close to everything but away from the hustle and bustle. Ria-Lize and her family were awesome hosts. They told us about hidden gems the locals know about that tourists don’t. We’d definitely visit again!

The place is beautiful and unusual, very clean and neat, well equipped, and has very good air conditioning. Check-in was easy, and the hosts were extremely warm, friendly and helpful. We had a really nice experience and I’d recommend it to everyone. Such a lovely place!
