The good parts were the lovely, relaxing pool area and the friendly security staff. The underground parking was secure and spacious, and the aircons worked exceptionally well. But we won’t stay in this unit again or recommend it. We stayed in unit 201 at Ballito Manor View, and there were several problems. On arrival, the apartment felt and smelled dirty. The indoor and patio furniture was stained, worn, and uncomfortable, and the place seemed neglected by the owners. The corroded braai and gas bottle were an eyesore, and the braai didn’t work. The carpets were in poor shape too. One bedroom carpet was coming apart, and the lounge carpet was so filthy that Ballito accommodation had to remove it for cleaning. Cleanliness was a wider issue: we saw cockroaches every day in the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. The crockery and cutlery looked shabby, and none of the apartment doors locked properly. The location comes with noise. The apartment is right by the Willard beach walkway, so you can hear beachgoers, as well as children shouting in the pool next to the building from early in the day until evening. When we complained, Ballito accommodation sent their supervisor, Bridget, that day. She made us feel as though we were wrong to complain, and was unfriendly and very rude.
