Zur See is an affordable little place, just a few minutes from the beach and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, modern, and clean, with everything you need for a vacation. There’s even a dining room table if you’re travelling for business and need to work. I’d highly recommend it.

Don was a wonderful host, and the other staff were helpful too, replying promptly whenever I had one of the few issues. I really enjoyed my stay and would come back again and again. And the dogs, Holly & Buttercup, are just the best 🥲♥️.

Our room was fresh, very clean, and had everything we needed: a fridge, TV, lovely bathroom and shower, and even a desk for getting some work done. It’s set at the back, so there’s good privacy, and the location makes it easy to get around. Don welcomed us with a friendly smile. The units are lovely and very well priced. Thanks for having us, we’ll certainly see you on our next trip.

We booked and paid for a sea-view room for four nights, but on the third day Don moved us to a stuffy back room with no windows, without asking us. It was a downgrade, and no compensation was offered. What I found most disturbing was that he had his staff move our personal belongings without our consent. They were builders working on his property, where they were building a swimming pool. Having someone remove our things without permission felt like a breach of our privacy and security. We asked for the belongings to be returned to the room we had booked. The staff brought them back, but told us we would still have to move to the other room the next day. When I asked Don what had happened to our muffins, he called me a muffin. The next morning, at 7.45am, we were woken and told to leave the room immediately. I argued that we had paid for it, and Don threatened to call the security company. He did call them to have us removed. We’re pensioners and had come to enjoy time with our family, who were on their honeymoon from Belgium. When I said he had spoiled our holiday, he replied, "I don't care." I wouldn’t recommend this establishment. We didn’t take photos of our belongings after they were moved, so couldn’t pursue legal action against Don.
