The porch has a lovely view, and the house is close enough to walk easily to the beach. The climb back up the hill is quite steep, but that’s part of having a view like this. The pool was beautiful and clean, and the garden lush and well kept. The house has everything you’d need for a long stay, from all kinds of utensils, pots and pans to baking gear and plastic plates for kids. There are even special bowls for dogs. Tinashe came in to clean every day, which felt like such a luxury. He’s very friendly and sweet. We love Ruby Sands and will keep coming back.

Ruby Sands #1. We had an awesome holiday, and everything was perfect, with nothing we’d change. From the welcome through to departure, they made us feel at home and put in the effort to keep us comfortable and up to date with anything happening. We’ll definitely return!

We had an amazing experience. The owner is very nice, and you’re welcomed with a drink and a tour of the holiday home. It’s private, and you can bring your pets. I’d definitely come again.

We had a fantastic stay at Ruby Sands. Lyndie put so much care into welcoming us and our pup, even leaving dog food and treats for him after our long drive. The house is so well equipped that all we needed to bring was our clothes. Looking forward to staying again.

We returned in August 2025, a few years after our first stay, and the warm hospitality was just the same. The garden gives the doggies room to explore safely, which meant we could relax too. It’s a lovely place to stay with pets. Thinking back to September 2020, the thoughtful extras really stood out, from treats for our fur kids to a sewing kit, shoe brushes and polish. The kitchen has all the major appliances, and there’s a great braai area plus a boma with a fire pit. The sheltered pool looks out toward the ocean, which you can hear, and the beaches, restaurants and promenade are all close. Everything was sparkling clean, and pets were made so welcome. Highly recommended!
