Ebony and Ivory

The room didn't seem to have been cleaned before I arrived, since the bin was still full. I also found a dirty, dusty blanket in a dusty wardrobe, stained sofa upholstery, and nasty looking dish towels by the sink. The place is run down, with poor landscaping, broken windows, and an abandoned swimming pool. The shower has no door handle or rack for soap. Getting an answer from the owner takes ages, and you practically have to beg. When I raised the dirty blanket, he got nasty instead of acknowledging it. His attitude was unprofessional, and his problem solving and conflict resolution were poor. Terrible service.

We were welcomed warmly after being referred by a friend of the owner. We were told the TV and DStv worked, but when we tried them later, they weren't connected. We called and were told someone was coming to fix it, but nobody arrived, and the owner eventually ignored my calls. Later, after we waited for them to welcome other visitors, we went to ask again. They said we should have requested it earlier because it cost extra, then left us there. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The room had a strange smell, and the bathroom smelled of pee. I asked for a refund so I could leave, but the guy refused. I had to call friends and family to send money so I could book somewhere else. Poor service.

Such a lovely stay. The whole place was clean, every bit of it, and the rooms too.
