Ruresta Guesthouse

I loved staying here. The apartment has all the necessities, and I especially liked how the bedroom is separate from the kitchen and living area, giving enough privacy and space for sleeping and eating. It also has a PVR DSTV decoder, so you're never bored, hey.

The house keeper was friendly and welcoming, and even came to see me off. There was plenty of tea and coffee, a decanter of milk in the fridge, and enough blankets for cold weather. It was also quiet, so I could work and sleep peacefully. Getting onto the premises was a hassle, though. The TV in the lounge/kitchen was mounted too high and kept changing channels on its own, maybe because it shares a connection with another unit. The shower tiles were dirty, the drainage needs attention, and the aircon made an annoying noise in swing mode. I only saw the owner when he took payment, and got no advice about who to contact if I needed anything. There was no wifi password, and the sheets had stains and red marks.

Johan is the nicest guesthouse owner I've come across, and the place feels safe and secure. The rooms are beautiful and the location is fantastic. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

A spacious, clean and well-kept place with air conditioning, and a great spot to relax. Bloemfontein central is 9 km away. Well worth booking, kudos all round.
