The Truffle Cabin has a lovely west-facing deck for breakfast or a cool evening, and the wood-fired hot tub is just right. I also enjoyed the quiet of nature and spotting local wildlife, mostly birds and lizards. The flies, though, were everywhere. The cabin itself was a letdown in places, with neglect starting to show: a dirty shower head, broken plugs with exposed wires, faulty light switches, a rusty gas cooker top, broken chairs, and a few other issues.

The views were awesome and the bed was cozy when I stayed in the Oyster unit with a family member. They especially loved the hot tub. I’d recommend Avani Lodge for a cozy weekend or week away from the city, surrounded by nature.

A little gem, and just what we wanted: a jacuzzi, a braai inside, and a view. Ewald was a great host and showed us around one of the other units. There are so many dogs, which made the place feel happy all over. Would definitely recommend it for a couples getaway. Thanks for the wors, Ewald. See you again soon!

We arrived to find a hot tub waiting, with beautiful scenery all around. It’s a simple, back-to-basics place, but the experience was wonderfully peaceful. We’ll be back.

We absolutely love this peaceful farm stay. The hosts are welcoming and the accommodation is cozy, making it a great countryside retreat. There’s a scenic walking route, lovely spots to watch the sunset, and a pool with breathtaking views. It feels like having a private resort.
