Matusadona Guest Lodge

We stayed in the Impala room, which was spacious, with an amazing bathroom and a lovely view. The property was clean and neat, and the quiet setting was just right. Breakfast was more than enough, though don’t expect a buffet, that’s not what you’re paying for. The staff were friendly and took care to understand how we wanted our eggs, which they cooked perfectly. Good value for money and highly recommended. There’s no air conditioning, but a very good fan is provided.

John and Panache made us feel at home and were incredibly warm and helpful. John carried our bags when we arrived and left, and even opened the kitchen after hours so we could warm our food, then helped us with it. Panache got the pool area ready, setting out a table and chairs so we could picnic and enjoy the view. The rooms were spacious and very clean, as was the pool, and the Wi-Fi was good. Breakfast was lovely, and the whole place had that home-away-from-home feel. Everything matched the pictures, and the location was easy to find.

Anne, the host, decorated the room for my proposal and did an incredible job. The room, lodge, and decorations all went way beyond what I expected. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the rooms and grounds were clean and well maintained. There were even wild animals grazing around. Simply amazing, a 10/10 experience, and highly recommended.

Curley, the resident Guineafowl, was a particular favorite of mine, and the grounds were beautiful, with wild animals wandering through the gardens. My husband and I had a lovely stay. Russell and his team were welcoming and met all our needs, and the rooms were clean and nicely laid out. Breakfast was included and great too. I’d recommend the lodge and hope to come back with my family.
