Maroela Guesthouse Brits

I spent five months at this guest house while traveling, and it came to feel like home. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and I was grateful for the delicious, generous meals. My room was clean, and parking felt secure. I also enjoyed relaxing by the little garden and pool. There’s plenty to do in the surrounding area too. Thanks again for the warm hospitality, I highly recommend staying here.

The room felt overpriced for what we got. The bed hadn’t been made with fresh sheets, and the furniture was very old, with wooden chairs that weren’t comfortable to sit on. The coffee station was poorly maintained, with an ancient kettle and hardly any supplies. There were only two sachets of Ricoffy, which I don’t like. The bin was full of KFC rubbish, and a scratching sound in our room kept us awake all night. Maybe it was a dog or cat in another room.

My visitor said the noise kept him awake and he couldn’t sleep.

I’ve stayed here two or three times now, and Michelle, the owner, has given great service, if I have her name right. It’s very secure and peaceful, even though it’s near the CBD and industrial area. The place is very clean. With all the bushes, I always expect things to crawl around, but haven’t seen any.
