Lunch at the Dorpshuis is always a great event. The church bell chiming while we sat on the street stoep gave the place a lovely atmosphere. Inigma's service was top class, and it was a pleasant surprise to have management and the chef personally attend to our meals.

We were 14 adventure bikers and got a warm welcome and plenty of room. The service was great, the food fabulous, and the cake was ridiculously good. Everyone left full and smiling.

We enjoyed the setup and peaceful surroundings, with the church bells in the background. Lunch was so good we came back for dinner. The Ponzu bowl was delicately cooked and the quinoa perfectly steamed. The Beef pastrami burger came with fresh, crisp vegetables despite the scorching day. The vegetarian pasta had a generous helping of mushrooms, and the creamy chicken chorizo pasta was an unusual but delicious mix. Everything was lip-smacking.

The host was friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation was comfortable and good value. We stayed in the annex, which looks out a bit onto the 'backyard'. The disappointment was breakfast: reviews had rated it highly, but we weren't told it wouldn't be provided until after we'd paid in full. The host had given his staff the day off, which is fine, but there was no discount. We feel this could've been handled better. Check before booking. Otherwise, it's a nice place.

The filet and lamb shank were the best we've ever eaten. The vegetables were nicely crisp, the mash was very good, and the lovely chef came by to check everything was up to standard. Fully recommend them.
