The Last Word - Sea Five

The hotel's just a two-minute walk from Camps Bay waterfront, and the rooms are beautiful, clean, spacious and made up every day. The complimentary minibar was restocked daily, a really nice touch. What stood out most was the staff. They were the nicest bunch of people we've ever met at a hotel, attentive, polite and genuinely warm. Big thanks to Cindy, Alice, Jodine and Carlvin in particular. My wife was very sick for the first few days, and they made a real effort to look after her. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely come back on our next trip to SA. Thank you, Ben & Lauren.

The location is wonderful, but the hotel itself was terrible. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was the low point of our trip. Our travel agent had highly recommended it, but we couldn't have been more disappointed. The room was rundown and dirty, with broken and worn parts throughout. The curtains wouldn't close, and staff couldn't fix them during our stay. The walls were chipped, the furniture scratched, the tub stained and dirty, with hairs in it when we arrived, and the baseboards were filthy. Many towels were stained. Our suite balcony was shared with the room next door, despite being told it was private. We saw more bugs in our room than in Kruger. The shower backed up and flooded the whole bathroom every time we used it. It turned out the drain was blocked with so much hair from previous guests. Gross. We barely saw any staff. The hotel said it would refund us for any nights we didn't use if we checked out early, but then never contacted us again. Our travel agent even sent people to the hotel after we left to discuss the refund, but nobody was there. I don't understand all the good reviews. Do not stay here.

The staff at Sea Five Boutique were exceptional throughout our stay, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Special shoutout to Togo, who went above and beyond from the moment we checked in and was always there with a smile. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal, a short walk to the beach and close to great restaurants and shops. We had an incredible time in Cape Town and would definitely return. I'd recommend Sea Five to anyone visiting.

We just had a wonderful four-night honeymoon stay at Sea Five in a Mountain View Room. The staff were so generous and kind, and their service was amazing. Our room was clean with beautiful views, and the breakfast spread was delicious. We can't thank the team enough.
