We had such a great start to our South Africa holiday here, and I'd happily give the stay more than five stars. James made us feel at home right away and looked after us throughout. He shared lots of fun ideas for things to do and arranged everything we needed, including restaurant reservations. The guesthouse is beautiful, in an excellent location, and serves delicious breakfast made fresh. We'd gladly return and highly recommend it.

Getting around from Cheviot was easy, and we really liked the location. The rooms were clean and the breakfasts were nice. James is a polite, thoughtful host and a good man. If it's your first time in CPT, he has loads of advice on where to go, what to do, and what to avoid. One of the best places we've ever stayed.

We slept really well, and the breakfasts were delicious. Cheviot has the genuine feel of a bed and breakfast, with a quiet neighborhood and a central location. James was quick to respond from the first contact, greeted us warmly, offered helpful recommendations, and took care of us during the stay. If you're a light sleeper, try for a room on the top floor.

We could walk to the Waterfront and felt very safe. James welcomed us warmly on our first stay in Cape Town and gave us useful tips for the start of the trip. His restaurant suggestions were great too.

Brooke was especially kind and helpful throughout our stay, and we felt welcomed and cared for like friends. We spent three lovely nights in the terrace room at Cheviot Guesthouse. The charming house was spotless and had every comfort. It's also a very convenient base for getting around the city.
