The kids loved every minute, which made the trip extra special for all of us, and we already can’t wait to return to One&Only Cape Town. We had a world-class family stay. The penguin backpacks for the children were the sweetest surprise, and the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond. Every detail felt thoughtful and luxurious from arrival. We were lucky to get a Table Mountain view, and waking up to it every morning was unforgettable. The resort feels peaceful and private, yet the V&A Waterfront is close by, which made getting around convenient. The breakfast buffet became one of our favourite parts of the day, with lots of variety, lovely presentation and delicious food. We also had dinner at ROOI and Nobu. They were very different but both wonderful: ROOI had incredible flavours and atmosphere with a distinctly South African feel, while Nobu was iconic as ever and a treat since it’s the only one in South Africa.

Being able to walk easily to the V&A Waterfront made exploring Cape Town convenient, and the location felt very safe. The One&Only Cape Town was a luxurious, comfortable place to stay, and we’d happily return or recommend it as a starting point for a visit. It was a wonderful way to begin our South Africa trip, spending the first three days here. The property is elegant, peaceful and very well maintained. After a long journey, the warm, welcoming staff were consistently accommodating and helped us feel at ease right away. Breakfast each morning had a great selection and high-quality food that set us up for the day.

The rooms were really nice, and everyone on staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. I had an unusual request, could they put my cup in a dishwasher? I’d honestly never asked for that anywhere before, lol. They jumped right on it and were happy to help, which I appreciated since I couldn’t clean it myself. Their kindness made the stay even better, and I’d definitely come back 🩷🩷.

I asked for a harbour view and got the best views, it really didn’t disappoint. The room seemed newly renovated, though on the first day there were problems with the hot water and no actual blankets. They sent me lots of throws, which helped a lot, and those small issues didn’t spoil the trip. I spent a week at the One & Only celebrating my 38th birthday, and the team were incredible from the first booking through checkout. I arranged birthday decor, and they went out of their way to make sure I had a fabulous birthday. There were treats too, and they paid close attention to feedback and smoothed over any issues. Thanks to the whole team!
