The room was nice and matched its description, but I didn’t feel safe here. Our money was stolen, which points to a serious safety problem. It wasn’t a bad choice otherwise, but I can’t recommend it to others. If you stay, keep your valuables with you.

Think carefully before booking. I reserved through Booking.com, then had to ask to change the dates because of unforeseen circumstances. I sent several emails and WhatsApp messages, but got no reply. The booking was still six weeks away, and I asked about changing the dates as well as cancelling before the remaining 50% payment was due. I also asked whether the cancellation fee could be waived. There was no personal response, only an automated refusal. I love Granger Bay, but next time I’ll book with another owner. This owner doesn’t seem to take circumstances outside a guest’s control into account.

We received excellent service, and the location was excellent too. A perfect holiday spot for two adults and two kids, with the kids sleeping on the sleeper couch. Ten stars.
