Maaike made us feel at home right from the start. The neighborhood is lovely, and Acorn house looks amazing. We really enjoyed the great breakfast and staff, and can highly recommend the place.

We’re five people traveling through South Africa, and Akorn House in Cape Town was an absolute gem. Everything was spotless and beautiful, with a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was a dream, and the attentive staff made us feel like every guest really mattered. A dream stay!

Absolutely spotless guest house, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Stefan was especially helpful with restaurant bookings and an issue we had with our car hire. We 100% recommend this beautiful place.

The staff were so helpful, and the rooms felt comfortable and homely. Acorn House is in a lovely spot, with a great cafe right beside it that does dinner too. Kloof Street is easy to reach, with plenty of good restaurants there.

We felt safe staying here as a family, and breakfast was good, with extras like eggs or pancakes available. The Table Mountain cable car station is only about 10 minutes away. There’s also a deli right across the road for pastries, coffee, snacks, or even lunch and dinner.
