At Villa Fig made my business trip feel like a vacation, and I almost felt guilty about that. The guesthouse is magnificent, full of historical pieces, and made me feel right at home. The rooms are super size, with a big, cozu bed that I could snuggle into without struggling with one thing. Breakfast by candlelight the next day was hot and delicious. The rooms had back up lights and wifi during load shedding, so I barely noticed it. If you enjoy architecture, art and history, ask Bruno about his adventure building this house. That's a treat on its own. Next time I'm in CT, I'll stay there. It's magical.

If you're after a modern, lively vibe, you might want to stay elsewhere. This place is quiet, clean and tidy, with a very distinctive mix of Afro-inspired ancient culture, vintage pieces and antiques. Hugo is an attentive, caring host who's easy to reach and clearly looks after the guesthouse and the people staying there. I’d recommend it if that style suits you. Enjoy your stay!
