The staff are lovely, and the view of Table Mountain is nice if you’re after a peaceful stay. It also suits couples, since children under 12 aren’t allowed. Still, the hotel is rated four stars, but by usual standards I’d put it at two. Some rooms need renovation, and in a few, a drywall partition separates the room from the hallway. That means conversations and people moving around outside carry through very loudly.

Being able to step straight from our room onto the beach was wonderful, and the surroundings were peaceful. The room was spectacular, with views that felt out of this world, and the chef’s breakfast and dinner were outstanding. From the warm smiles at the door, the friendly staff made us feel at home. It was my first holiday in Cape Town, and I’m glad I chose Atlantic Palms. I’d stay here every time I visit. Thanks, Atlantic Palms. Until next time. Xoxo

The view from the Panoramic Room was incredible, with sunsets over Table Mountain visible from bed and the ocean to wake up to. Being right by the beach made it even more memorable. We also loved the delicious breakfast with those wide ocean and mountain views, the safe parking, excellent laundry service, and the wonderfully soft robes. Everything was immaculate, and the staff were warm, efficient, professional, and attentive without hovering. We felt welcome and completely at ease from the moment we arrived. This was our second stay at Atlantic Palm Guesthouse, and it lived up to expectations again. The no-children-under-12 policy keeps things wonderfully quiet, making it a peaceful retreat. It’s my favourite place in Cape Town, and when we come back to the city, this is where I want to stay.

The breakfast was so good, honestly, what a treat! The rooms are modern and clean, the staff are friendly, and the location is excellent. Depending on which room you choose, there are beautiful views of Table Mountain, and parking feels safe. I also love that children under 12 aren’t allowed, so it stays nice and quiet.

The views across Cape Town are ridiculous, the breakfast is seriously good, and you can walk straight onto the beach. But that reception area really threw me. It’s ugly and looks like a Jugendherberge, with check-in happening beside a staircase at a R100 desk. There’s a big unused room right next door that could make a classy reception, so I don’t get why it sits empty. At first I wondered, “Shit, do I need to book somewhere else?” Then after a day I realized the place is actually nice.
