We loved our lockdown stay so much that we booked again on a recent Cape Town trip. The host was very accommodating, and the rooms are comfortably sized with en-suite bathrooms. Internet was decent enough for Netflix with few issues, and off-street parking is a real plus here. The location is great, with sunset, ocean, and mountain views that are mind-blowing. Restaurants, Woolworths, coffee shops, Camps Bay beaches, and town by car are all easy to reach.

The house is amazing, and I only wish we’d had more time there. I stayed at Bingley place a few months ago and am looking forward to returning this year. From the bottom apartment, we had everything described on the Website and were close to several good restaurants, all within walking distance. A small sandy beach is just a stone’s throw away, and you might have it to yourself. The sundowners and view were wonderful. Set above the road, the house is quiet and peaceful, with only the ocean to hear. Seasky staff helped with our luggage and settling in from arrival to departure. The grand house has magnificent sea views.

The view and location are great, but I’d rate the accommodation closer to three stars than five. The furniture is entry-level, especially the basic, very old cane furniture by the entrance. The kitchen cupboards and drawers were messy, with takeaway straws and containers left by previous guests. The stove was old and rusty. Under the beds wasn’t clean either, with dust and things left behind, including shoes, plastic, and lip ice. There were no bathroom toiletries. I’m unsure whether it officially has a five-star rating since no certificate was displayed. It feels like the view is being used to justify five stars, and the cupboards need a thorough clean. The standard was below par.

I can’t wait to stay at Bingley Place again. The house is charming and beautifully decorated, with wide open spaces that flow out toward the bay. It’s every bit as spectacular as the views.

David provided terrific service and hospitality. The accommodation is absolutely stunning, immaculately maintained, and well appointed, in a fabulous setting overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
