Cape Goodness

We booked and paid through Discovery, received confirmation, and even registered on Knights bridge the day before. But when we arrived, we were told they were fully booked. The landlord, Rene, was extremely rude and threatened to call the police when we showed the receptionist our booking confirmation. We’ve traveled a lot and have never been treated so unfairly. I hope we never run into that kind of behavior again.

The space was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s in a great location, and the service was phenomenal. Thanks so much, we’ll be back.

There was no breakfast offered during my stay, which makes me wonder whether this place should be called a bed and breakfast. For the price, I’d look elsewhere in town. The rooms are rather small, though perhaps adequate for a single night. I was put in the “honeymoon” suite, but there was nothing remarkable about it. I had a friend stop by for a glass of wine, not to stay overnight, and the host disapproved. Their manner was rude and impertinent. Looking at past reviews, it seems other travelers have felt the same way.

Such a peaceful, homey place, with friendly people and kindness. My privacy was respected, and I had the space and rest I needed. I’d recommend it and can’t wait to visit again.
