The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and the bar had a lovely atmosphere. I had a really enjoyable stay, with extremely helpful staff, a very clean room, exceptional bed linen, and a comfortable bed. Wish I could’ve stayed longer.

I was lucky enough to take part in Dare to Lead this week, led by Caryn Conidaris. The Cape Milner Hotel is a special space, and the staff, venue, atmosphere, and food were all five-star brilliant. Thanks to the hotel, and a special thank you to Dawn and her incredible staff for making us feel so cared for and welcome.

There’s a beautiful view of Table Mountain from the hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff gave very good service. Breakfast was great, with hot dishes available to order too. You can hear a bit of road noise from the room, but overall it’s a great hotel.

My first visit left me raving about this hotel. I recommended it to colleagues and anyone who’d listen, and even left a very good review. This time, after a really difficult day, the staff seemed determined to embarrass me. The service left a lot to be desired and was shocking. People in hospitality need to remember guests may have had a day from hell and are counting on checking in to reset. I won’t be back anytime soon, and wish I could take back my first recommendation. I won’t book or recommend it again anytime soon.
