I keep coming back to Cape Vibe/Casa Elena and already look forward to my next stay. The homely, peaceful atmosphere is exactly what I want, and I've never found a dirty towel, an unmade bed, or unprofessional service here. The staff are welcoming and down to earth, while still professional enough to sort out any issue. The new management plan seems to have the small teething problems from the past under control. Some guests do make the peaceful setting unpleasant by ignoring the house rules and inviting lots of non-paying people over, as if the family and staff should put them up for free. Please respect the place and the other paying guests. This establishment offers comfort, care, and a loving home atmosphere. If I'm after luxury and leisure, I'm happy to pay thousands of rands elsewhere. Thanks, Cape Vibe, for making every stay a wonderful experience. See you soon!

Basic, simple, clean, and affordable, with everything close by. The staff are really helpful and friendly, and there's a nice outdoor spot to relax and catch up on social media ;) It feels very homey. I'll definitely be back 😎

The place was filthy, and the receptionist was rude. The linen was torn and dirty, one of the three white pillows was pink, and the cup still had an old coffee ring. There was rotten old fish in the braai, and the shower was too dirty to use even with flip-flops on. We left after an hour because it wasn't somewhere we could sleep. Worst place we've ever seen.

Casa Elena has old-world charm, like a hotel from another era or a James Dean movie set. It's right in the heart of Seapoint, and the management helped me more than at any other hotel in Cape Town. Thank you, Casa. Be aware that off-street parking is expensive, though the indoor St JOHNS ARCADE also has secure overnight parking. For couples, I recommend the double room with an outdoor balcony.
